In November of 2022, my homes in Rachel, NV and in Las Vegas were raided by a joint force of the FBI and AF OSI. Without warning, my gate was knocked down, the doors were kicked in and the homes were ransacked by over a dozen FBI and AF OSI agents at each location. My girlfriend Linda and I, two unarmed, innocent, fully cooperating senior citizens were manhandled like hardened criminals while our homes were vandalized. We are still traumatized by the events. Four computers, countless backup drives, several phones, expensive camera gear, a drone and many other items were seized. There was also significant damage to both homes.
I was never given a reason for the raid, nor have I been charged with a crime. In fact, I have not heard from the FBI since the day of the raid. I have done nothing illegal. The raid was an attack on my freedom of speech and on my first amendment rights. This was a brutal and violent attack on the Freedom of the Press!
My claim for damage caused to my homes was denied and I don't expect to get my seized property back any time soon. I am looking at $20,000 to replace my equipment, $5,500 to repair the damage and $7,000 and counting in legal fees. Faced with a loss of well over $30,000 and likely further legal expenses I have started a GoFundMe page to recover some of my losses. Please help me fight this injustice. Thank you!
I never thought that this could ever happen to me. It still feels like something out of a bad movie. But it did happen, without any warning and without me committing a crime. It happened to me, and it can happen to you if you get in the crosshairs of an out-of-control and corrupt justice system. And believe me, it is no fun!
