The main takeaway from the raid for me is this: The FBI agents can and will LIE to you all day long to get what they want. You on the other hand are not allowed to lie to them. So, if this ever happens to you, the best course of action is: Do not talk to them at all! For any reason! No matter what they say. Do not believe a word! They will lie to get you to talk!
When the agents dragged me out of my home in Rachel they implied that if I did not cooperate I might be arrested. That was a LIE! They did not have an arrest warrant for my person.
I was led to believe that I was not free to go while they raided my home. That was a LIE! After being dragged out of my home and after the handcuffs had been removed I could have simply asked the agents to step aside and walked away. I did not know that at the time.
At the end of the raid Special Agent Chase Blevins, the lead FBI agent in Rachel, stated that I could contact him any time through the main FBI phone number for an update on my case. That was a LIE! Both I and my attorney have since made countless unsuccessful attempts to contact him or anyone else at the FBI for an update.
Agent Blevins stated that I would have my property back in two weeks, but that I should call them about return of my property. That was a LIE! Well over a year later I still don't have my property back, despite countless attempts to inquire about the return of my property.
The agents told my girlfriend Linda in Las Vegas that I was not at the Rachel residence and that I was on the run. That was a LIE! At that time the agents in Rachel had not even entered our Rachel home and I was sound asleep in my bed. Exactly where Linda told them I would be.
The agents told Linda that we would get reimbursed for the damage they caused to our home. That was a LIE! Our claim for reimbursement has since been denied.
Bottom line, if you ever find yourself in a situation like this: DO NOT COOPERATE! DO NOT SAY ANYTHING! You have nothing to gain from cooperating. No matter what they may be telling you. I have been there. I know!
